What were your first thoughts and feelings after your baby was born?
Overwhelmed feeling of love at first sight. There’s no way to explain it, it’s like your heart expands x 1000!
Did you settle quickly into a routine with your baby? If so, do you think it worked well for you?
It took a few tries! The first few months were very hard on me, the lack of sleep didn’t help, but I’d say we figured a routine out fairly quickly.
How soon after your baby was born did you begin to swaddle your baby?
Every single day from birth until 7 months.
How did you come to know about Love To Dream™?
Amina did not care for the standard arms down swaddles but she startled herself awake every night if I didn’t swaddle her. Good old Google led me to the LOVE TO DREAM SWADDLE UP™ and I am forever grateful.
Do you feel like using the Love To Dream™ range of products has made a positive impact on you and your baby's sleep?
110% yes! It worked so well for us that I still tell new moms about it.
What is the one thing you wish you'd known before you became a parent?
Just how little sleep I would be getting hah! I also wish I had known about these swaddles sooner, I wasted a lot of money on other brands that did not work out.
Three words to describe life before parenthood and three to describe life after becoming a parent?
Before: carefree, selfish, independent.
After: compassionate, patient, happy.
What is the one piece of advice you’d offer new parents or parents-to-be?
Don’t be afraid to ask for help, don’t be afraid to talk about your feelings after baby. It is a very hard but very rewarding transition.
What are your top 5 essential items to have ready to go when baby arrives?
