To begin with, tell us a little more about who you are, where you’re from and the age of your little one?

My name is Cyah Flynn, I’m 21 from York, North Yorkshire! I studied a foundation in Art then went on to a temporary job in healthcare before falling pregnant with my little Felix who’s now 5 months old.

What were your very first thoughts after your baby was born?

After Felix was born my first thoughts were how tiny and gorgeous he was. Also how happy I was that he was healthy and screaming as he was born 5 weeks premature.

Did you settle quickly into a routine with your baby? If so, do you think it worked well for you?

It took us a while to get a routine as Felix has bad colic and silent reflux for the first 12-15 weeks. Since then we have established a nice evening routine that works well for us; simply bath, bottle, cuddles then bed!

How soon after your baby was born did you begin to swaddle your baby?

I swaddled Felix straight away and he loved it. He loved to feel cosy and cuddled so this was great for getting him to sleep.

How did you come to know about Love To Dream™?

I came to know about Love To Dream after seeing a post on Instagram where somebody tagged Cheeky Rascals. From there I stalked your Instagram and became obsessed with how cute the swaddles were and how everyone swore by them!

Do you feel like using the Love To Dream™ range of products has made a positive impact on you and your baby’s sleep?

Yes definitely! He sleeps so much better in the Love To Dream swaddles as he can’t startle himself awake, which he used to do a lot. This means he sleeps a lot longer and after using them he started to sleep through.

What is the one thing you wish you’d known before you became a parent?

Before becoming a parent I wish I had known how quickly it would go and to cherish every single hurdle and even every day. It has flown by and I miss my newborn! I would have spent a lot more time at home rather than trying to be busy out and about.

Three words to describe life before parenthood and three to describe life post-parenthood?

Before – bored, lazy, spontaneous.
After – aware, besotted, grown up.

What is the one piece of advice you’d like to offer new parents or parents-to-be?

My one piece of advice would be to cherish that one-on-one time with your partner before baby arrives as you won’t be getting much once your little one is here.
